AWD is honored to have ELISE HINES step into the role of AWD SOUTH CO-CHAIR! Elise is no stranger to AWD South leadership as she served as their Treasurer for seven years before stepping into the Co-Chair role. She will lead with current Chair Tomeka Winborne. 

Having over 8 years of experience as a writer, producer, and director for corporate communications, Elise brings a wealth of expertise in crafting compelling narratives, managing projects, and delivering impactful visual storytelling. This diverse skill set will undoubtedly enrich her new role, enabling her to effectively advocate for women and nonbinary directors. and facilitate meaningful connections within the industry.

As a director, Elise is focused on breaking into episodic directing and gravitates towards projects that align with her desire to connect with audiences on a meaningful level. Additionally she is drawn to directing faith-based and family-friendly movies, as she believes in the power of these genres to inspire, uplift, and entertain viewers of all ages. Through her work in these areas, she aims to create impactful stories that resonate with audiences and contribute positively to the world of filmmaking.
