LAUREN KEATING

The Drama League has selected Lauren Keating as a TV/Film Directing Fellow. This highly competitive Fellowship provides learning opportunities, on-set experience, and introductions to film/tv mentors and professionals, especially in the episodic space.

MEREDITH YINGER

Meredith Yinger‘s first feature documentary – SCARS UNSEEN – which is about triumph of the human spirit in domestic violence cases – had its WORLD PREMIERE at the 2024 Dances with Films Festival at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

The film has also won a Telly Award Use of Music!

KRISTINA THOMAS

Kristina Thomas‘s short film, “Saving All My Love,” was included in the American Cinematheque Juneteenth program, “AN AC EVENING OF SHORTS: BLACK GIRL JOY.” Each the shorts showcased were from black women directors and had an essence of joy, peace, and freedom for their black women protagonists.

“Saving All My Love” was made through the Film Independent Project Involve. Logline: A down-on-her-luck former pageant queen’s anxiety spirals out of control when she finally confronts her mother’s hoarding.

ASHLEY MARIA

“Super Human Anxiety,” written and directed by AWD Member Ashley Maria, will have its World Premiere at the LA Shorts Film Festival in July 2024. This narrative short is about a teenage girl, Whitney, who thinks she’s hiding her strong emotions well. But, when her elevator breaks down, fate forces her to out her secret.
