Yuki (Yi Meng) is a Chinese filmmaker currently based in Los Angeles. A UCLA Art History graduate, she transitioned to filmmaking, initially focusing on stop-motion animation before expanding to narrative, documentary, and video art formats. Her work explores female relationships and synesthetic connections between memory and perception through textural audiovisual environments. Her first short film, So I Erased His Face (2021), is distributed by Giloo Taiwan; subsequently, her short films Fish Tank (2023) and Hard Boiled Eggs (2025) have won her accolades at film festivals in Los Angeles, London, Tokyo and Beijing. Her most recent work is “Departure”, a four-channel video installation film commissioned by and exhibited at USC Pacific Asia Museum in Los Angeles.

In 2022, Yuki founded Salon de Paprika, a production company inspired by "Salon de Paris" and the Japanese animation "Paprika", dedicating to merging their themes - a space where we explore the grays of human nature and depth of our psyche, and connect with the unheard and the unseen. The company has since developed a stable source of production service clientele, and has a slate of two feature films and one doc feature in various stages of production.
