Tara Miele is a screenwriter and film / TV director who was recently nominated for a DGA Award for her work on Apple’s acclaimed series LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY, starring Academy Award® winner Brie Larson. Tara's latest feature film, WANDER DARKLY, starring Sienna Miller and Diego Luna, premiered in competition at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was distributed by Lionsgate. Currently, Tara is writing and is attached to direct a film about Carol Burnett’s life with Tina Fey producing. In addition to her long form work, Tara is well known for her 2016 viral video, MEET A MUSLIM, which she created to combat Islamophobia and which has garnered over 45 million views. Additionally, Tara has helmed four micro budget films as well as directing Apple TV's award-winning anthology series LITTLE AMERICA, and fan-favorite episodes of HAWAII FIVE-O, ARROW, BATWOMAN, FANTASY ISLAND, and LA BREA. Tara graduated from Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative and the CBS Directing Initiative. She is an alt on the Western Directors Council at the Directors Guild of America and is proud to have worked with the Womens Steering Committee to create the DGA’s first peer to peer mentorship program for women. Tara aims to create work that changes the world; when she isn't doing that, she's busy raising two kids. Both love their mom went viral.
