M.C. Huff is a Los Angeles–based writer, director, actor, & hospice volunteer whose work explores mortality, dignity, and the human need for connection. Her journey as an artist has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity for the human experience. As an actress, she has led feature films and appeared on television, giving her a deep understanding of the filmmaking process on both sides of the camera.

During the pandemic, Huff began writing as a way to process her own experiences, realizing how vital it was to bring personal, often difficult stories to the screen—so others facing similar struggles wouldn’t feel so alone. At the height of lockdown, she wrote, directed, and shot her first short film, Breakfast with Jenny, entirely on an iPhone. The film went on to win multiple international awards, proving that emotional truth and strong storytelling transcend budget and scale.

All of Huff’s films reflect her hospice work, focusing on end-of-life, compassion, and the beauty of connection in the face of loss. Most recently, she directed One Final Ride, a proof-of-concept for her debut feature, The Golden Trail—a deeply personal story inspired by her grandfather’s battle with dementia. Drawing from her background in biology, performance, and end-of-life care, Huff creates films that blend empathy and realism, inviting audiences to confront what it means to live fully and love bravely.
