Award-winning writer + director, Lisa Cole is dedicated to sharing women's stories that explore universal themes of redemption, self-identity and empowerment. Lisa co-wrote the narrative screenplay, “Girl Named Sue”, starring Shailene Woodley with producers Laura Bickford, Nathan Ross and Jean-Marc Vallee (until Jean-Marc suddenly died). She also co-wrote "Diamond Girls" in development with Flora Films with Selena Gomez attached. Student Academy Awards Regional Finalist, WIF mentee & Final Draft Fellow, Lisa has directed documentaries for The Gates Foundation, Sundance & networks. A Board member of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Lisa graduated from Loyola Marymount University and resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
