Erika Davis-Marsh graduated with her MFA from the USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
Erika’s thesis film CODA was named Best of 2020 Omeleto and has over 1M views on YouTube. Also currently streaming on Kanopy, CODA was featured in the Dec 2019 issue of American Cinematographer.
CODA won the Programmer’s Award at Cleveland International FF, the Founder’s Award at ReelAbilities NYC, Best Screenplay at Little Wing UK, and the Audience Award at Deaf Rochester FF. Erika was awarded Best Director/ Angaelica FF and Best Breakout Filmmaker/ She Town Festival. CODA has screened around the world including, Encounters International (UK), LA Shorts, Diversity in Cannes Showcase, Nashville International, Glasgow Short Film Fest, In the Palace, (Bulgaria), and festivals in India, Russia and Korea.
Erika shadowed the fantasy show Grimm (NBC) with director Terrence O’Hara and The Mindy Project (NBC) with directors Michael Spiller and Michael Weaver. She was a finalist for the competitive Television Academy Foundation’s Episodic Directing Internship.
Erika assistant edited the Emmy nominated Hannah Gadsby: Douglas (Netflix), Middleditch and Swartz (Netflix), Beth Stelling Comedy Special (HBO Max), Creator Spotlight: Jackie Aina (YouTubeOriginals), and Miss America 2020 (NBC).
She is on the alumni board of the Women of Cinematic Arts.
