With eight short films, two commercials, an impactful social PSA & eight hip and clever feature screenplays and TV Pilots to her credit, Angie has the power of words to hook, fire-up and inspire any audience.
In 1997, she wrote and directed her first short film; a comedy/drama entitled Fair Weather between Friends. Her second comedy short film, Confessions of a Reluctant Bra Buyer, won Best Actress and Comedy Short Script at Duke City Film Festival 2008 and screened at seven festivals the following year.
Angie is a graduate of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women with her short film-a John Hughes-esc teen angst comedy, entitled Career Virgin. Her writing has conquered 1st Place with Scriptapalooza, Fade In and The Hollywood Black Film Festival.
Angie's rom com, How To Date a Celebrity was a Finalist with the 2015 Cannes Screenplay Contest & her comedy script, Over & Easy was a Finalist with the 2015 DC Shorts Screenplay Contest & the Boston Film Festival.
In 2016, 2017 and 2018 she wrote and directed three short films; a wickedly playful LGBTQ comedy entitled, Penis Envy and the Comedy/Thriller, #Captive and the gripping Drama, The R Word.
The R Word recently premiered at the 2018 MPAC Film Festival in Houston; while “Penis Envy” was selected to screen at four festivals in 2017 & in 2018 screened at the Perth LGBTQ & the Atlanta Black Gay Pride Film Festivals.
