Angela M. Gordon made her directorial debut in 2010 in the 48 Hour Film Project with” How Do You Spell Love?”, which screened in the 2011 PAFF, won The Humanity in Film Award in The Reel Sisters of the Diaspora and won the 48HFP Audience Award. October 2011, it premiered at the American Embassy in Manzini, Swaziland and in South Africa at the Gold Lion Film Festival.” The Last Job” premiered in 2014 screening at Capital City Black Film Festival, Hollywood Festival of New Cinema, Iron Mule and Cinefest-LA.

“The Donkey” short, made its world premiere at the 2016 PAFF and international debuts at the 2016 Rwanda Film Festival and the 2017 Cape Verde International Film Festival. In 2019, “A Gift For My Sister” screened at the Global Women of Color Showcase during the Cannes Film Festival and at the 2019 San Francisco Black Film Festival. In 2021 “The Wrong One” premiered in the Congo Filmz Festival in Kinshasa while three new shorts, “The List” and “Shape of a Bottle” and the post-apocalyptic short “Scorched Sea” will premiere in 2022. In 2021 Angela was the recipient of the California Dreamin’ Writing Fellowship from Writer’s Bootcamp and also directed her first commercial which aired on KTLA for U-Dream Dental. Angela will direct her first feature "Remy and Chance" in the fall of 2022 between Los Angeles and Nigeria.
