Works in Progress Program at FOTOKEM

July 24, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm PDT

Free

This Works in Progress evening is sponsored by FOTOKEM and is a peer-to-peer opportunity to review new works by members currently in post or headed for the festival circuit. Program emphasis is on supporting each other by providing constructive feedback, sharing resources, and building the AWD community.

This event will start with a light dinner and tech talk by FOTOKEM. We will then move into our shorts program.

Our events at FOTOKEM are limited RSVPs 35 maximum.

JULY TECH TALK: “VISUAL EFFECTS: HOW TO GIVE CONSIDERATION UPFRONT TO AVOID COSTLY ERRORS AND/OR CREATIVE COMPROMISES IN VFX”

Having a VFX supervisor on your team creates even more powerful story telling options – just ask the new breed of episodic TV producers emerging.  From genre spanning beautification, green screen comps, and fixes to adding visually arresting flames or gunshots to any dramatic scene, having a VFX artist on your team not only helps fix the unexpected but tell your story in a more compelling and powerful way.

Industry guest: EDDY DELMONT
Eddy Delmont is Senior VFX specialist at Keep Me Posted, associate producer on multiple series, LIV AND MADDY for Disney, CBS’s THE GAME, as well as being the go-to VFX artist for artists from Lady Gaga to the Wayans Brothers.
