We are excited for THE FINAL SHOW of the three part AWD Shoot ‘Em Up filmmaking evolution: THE FILMS!

The series began with a storytelling event at El Cid. AWD members Christianna Carmine, Elaine Strutz, Mylissa Fitzsimmons, Cathy Lynn Yonek, Kimberly Jentzen, and Uzma Kang shared personal true stories that ranged from heartbreaking to hilarious.

Inspired by those stories, AWD members Shilpa Mankikar, Donna Wheeler, Sarah Bullion, Julia Camara, C.M. Landrus, and Shea E. Butler spent the next month working on short scripts. Actors then took to the stage in a live reading of all the scripts. LAist selected the event as one of the 17 Of The Best Things To Do This Week In Southern California!

The final show will entail screenings of the films inspired by the stories and scripts! The directors of the films are AWD members Cate Carson, Foster Wilson, SJ Main Muñoz, Charissa Sanjarernsuithikul, Jenn Page, and Tricia Lee.
