Alliance of Women Directors
Born in Chicago, raised in the redwoods and on the beaches of Santa Cruz, California, Sarah Bullion has been working all over Hollywood since she PA’d on her first feature, Francis Ford Coppola’s The Rainmaker.
As well as directing her own pieces, Sarah has worked extensively across the business, watching carefully at the video villages of fantastic shows like, “Alias” and “True Blood” and movies from “Erin Brockovich” to “Dude, Where’s My Car?” She’s worked as an AD, Art Department Coordinator, Props, On-Set Dresser, Producer and Producer’s Assistant.
Sarah is currently serving her industry and other women and women-identifying directors in her third year on the Board and first year as the Treasurer of the Alliance of Women Directors. AWD is only organization dedicated exclusively to support, improve craft, and increase parity for directors across the US and Sarah is proud to be part of its leadership.
Sarah is a world traveler, having walked on five continents, and is a collector of stories and experiences. Sarah has lived in Chicago, Philly, and Memphis before finding her way back to the Pacific Ocean in Venice, California and now quaint San Pedro. She was raised along with her five siblings, like any good Americans, on TV and comic books.
Sarah thinks there is a hero and villain sleeping inside every person.
