This limited seating workshop on August 8th will cover focal lengths (SS vs. FF vs. LF) as well as a tour of the Zeiss facility.
Attendees will learn the history of cinema lens manufacturing as well as receive a demo of Zeiss’s latest lenses. RSVPs are closed.
AWD x Roadmap Writers: Pitch Sessions
Join us for a special three-part virtual pitching series presented in partnership with Roadmap Writers! Each session will spotlight a group of talented writers from Roadmaps’ Success Stories pitching original projects in a specific genre to an audience of AWD directors.
These sessions are a great opportunity to hear fresh ideas, connect with repped screenwriters, and potentially find new collaborators. Each writer will pitch for approximately five minutes, followed by a brief Q&A with attending directors.

Virtual Works in Progress
AWD Directing Members are invited to a Virtual Works in Progress on August 20th @ 6p PT / 9p ET.
Feedback will be given on members’ directing reels and the short film “8:38,” by Imole Lapido about a woman who wakes up in a room with no memory. With one lifeline call, she must uncover the truth, before it’s too late. But is the voice helping her… or hiding something darker? 8 minutes is all she has.
