Writer/director/producer Susie Singer Carter is an award-winning filmmaker whose last film, 2018 Oscar qualified short film, MY MOM AND THE GIRL (writer/director/producer/actress) starring Valerie Harper won BEST SHORT FILM and BEST DIRECTOR at the Connect Film Festival, BEST SHORT PROGRAMMERS CHOICE and FEMALE FILMMAKER at Cleveland International Film Festival, KCET FINE CUTS WINNER and 2nd Place BEST LGBTQ SHORT at the American Pavillion Emerging Filmmakers in Cannes Film Festival, amongst others. The film is available on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, KCET, and ShortsTV.

Susie began her career writing and producing 26 episodes of the tween competition show, DANCE REVOLUTION, while writing, producing and co-directing 13 half-hour episodes of CAKE for CBS - at the same time. She wrote and produced her first feature BRATZ: THE MOVIE for Lionsgate, co-produced SOUL SURFER for Sony.

Susie's blind script deal with Fox resulted in an animated pilot: SURVIVING HAWKING starring Bryan Cranston. Her two short docs, BREAKING GOOD, and WOMEN WHO WROTE THE WAY, honoring trailblazing female writers, screened at the WGA and are both being distributed through Criterion Pictures USA. She just completed adapting PLAIN JANE, a dramedy based on the debut novel of the same title by Barrie Levitt Knee.

Susie attended UCLA and is a spokesperson for Alzheimer's Los Angeles.
