Writer, Director Rodes Phire is a passionate person by nature, everything she does, she does with a heightened sense of urgency and a dedication to the creation process. Beginning her film career as an actress at the age of six, Rodes has performed along some of the best in the industry, Jason Bateman, Ted Danson, Terry Crews and more. She has studied the craft of acting at Larry Moss Studios and Steppenwolf West. Rodes has her BFA in Theatre and Playwriting from the top-tier, UC Irvine.  After starring in several independent productions, equipped with a strong sense of story development and production, she continued her education, obtaining her Masters in Writing for Film and Television from USC. As an independent filmmaker/storyteller, Rodes is a former Sundance Co//ab Community Leader, an active member of the Alliance of Female Directors, Film Independent and the Women of Cinematic Arts. She hosts the non-for-profit female filmmaking podcast, “She Called Action” and has produced and directed over a dozen projects. Her short, MindFULLness was a 2019 Semi-Finalist in the At&t Shape-a-thon.
