Narges Abyar
Born in 1972 in Iran. Narges Abyar studied in Persian Literature and received her B.A. in this field. She started writing books in 1997.So far she has devoted most of her time to writing, which had led to the publication of 30 books for children, young adults and also the adults.

She was selected as an Oscar Academy member in 2020.
Her film, The Breath, was selected as the Iranian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards.

As writer & director, she made several shorts and documentaries since 2005. She pursued her directing career further with seven features and documentaries and has directed 5 movies which were screened and awarded at acclaimed film festivals such as Tallinn Black Night, Shanghai, Fajr, Sofia, Pune, Dhaka, Vancouver, Santa Barbara and Asia Pacific Screen award, etc.
