Michelle Mower is a writer, director, producer and independent film distributor. She most recently directed the teen dramedy “The Never List” which was released theatrically in the U.S. in December, 2020. Her debut feature “The Preacher’s Daughter,” starring Andrea Bowen (“Desperate Housewives”) premiered on Lifetime Movie Network (LMN) on August 31, 2012. The premiere garnered the highest ratings of any movie on LMN for the year and launched a franchise of “preacher” themed films for the network. Michelle has written and directed three tv movies for Lifetime.
In addition, Michelle is president and CEO of Imagination Worldwide, an international sales and distribution company based in Los Angeles. The 17 year old company provides opportunities for talented female filmmakers to get their works distributed both domestically in the US and in foreign territories.
Michelle received her B.A. degree in Radio/Television from the University in Houston in 2000. After graduation, Michelle was hired by the Houston NBC affiliate as Associate Producer for the morning news program. In 2003, Michelle spent 8 years as program director for Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP), a non-profit media arts organization based in Houston.
