Kate Tsang is a Los Angeles based artist/writer/director who creates darkly comedic and whimsical work. Her live-action short film “So You’ve Grown Attached” was a national finalist for the Student Academy Award, won Best Narrative Short at San Francisco International Film Festival, and received national broadcast on PBS. She has written on "Adventure Time: Distant Lands", "Steven Universe Future", and is the co-creator of the popular animated short, “Welcome to Doozy” (Sony Animation/Frederator). Kate won a $1 million award from Tribeca Film Institute and ATT to make her debut feature, Marvelous and the Black Hole starring Miya Cech (Always Be My Maybe, The Astronauts) and Rhea Perlman (Cheers, Mathilda). It will premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in 2020.
Kate also produces work as Bloodtoast, a magician who summons her mother’s spirit from hell to help her with simple card tricks.
