Charlotte Kennett is an LGBTQ+ director and writer based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from a small town of 2,000 people in the mountains of New Hampshire, Charlotte knows a little too much about small town gossip, flannels, being closeted, and how to break for moose.
Charlotte’s narrative work is typically queer centric and leans comedic (dark comedies or genre comedies). Drawn to telling intimate and personal stories rooted in tragedy, Charlotte's projects often walk the fine line between comedy and drama.
Charlotte's largest body of work to date is 2 seasons and 22 episodes of the acclaimed LGBTQ+ comedy web series Chapstick -- which emassed over half a million views and write-ups from publications such as Vice Magazine, WGN Radio, Film Daily, Medium, and others.
In the last two years, Charlotte has directed 3 short films, 2 pilots (30 min each), and directed and executive produced multiple music videos for Columbia Records and Sony Music Group under her newly formed production company Mother Fever.
Currently, Charlotte is taking her queer dark comedy short Psycho Baby (23 minutes) on a festival run while she preps for her directorial feature film debut. Production for the feature will start in Spring of 2023.
