AWD Member Anna Chi‘s new film “The Disappearance of Mrs. Wu” has been released by FreeStyle with a one-week theatrical run at NoHo Laemmle theater starting on March 17 and is now available online via video on demand.

A multigenerational comedy starring Lisa Lu (“Crazy Rich Asians”), “The Disappearance of Mrs. Wu” is the story of how shy teen Emma breaks her irascible grandmother Lily out of an L.A. nursing home for a wild road trip up the California coast, a journey that unleashes long-hidden family secrets. AWD Member Tess Harrison‘s debut feature “This Is A Film About My Mother” has secured distribution through Porter and Craig and will be available this Spring!

“This Is A Film About My Mother” is Tess’ debut feature which she wrote, directed and acted in opposite her real-life brother Will Harrison (Daisy Jones and the Six). During a stark winter weekend in upstate NY siblings Eve and Max reconnect a year after their mother’s death. With wit, patience, and a bit of magic the pair are forced to stumble through their grief and practice growing up.
