A graduate of the world-renowned film school at the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television Production, Tena Montoya, a PAC 10, three-time Oregon State Track and Basketball champion, and award-winning director/producer, has put her degree to good use.

As a filmmaker, she has recently combined her lifelong interest in fitness with her passion for directing and writing short subjects to create a fitness product for the mobile platform, which will be introduced in late 2009.

Her early short film, MY LIFE IN CLOTHES, was an official selection at many film festivals, including the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival and the Los Angeles Short Film Festival. Her feature length screenplay, SEE HOW SHE RUNS, won her a nod as a finalist in the America's Best Screenplay competition, and she was also invited to participate at the prestigious Will Vinton Animation Camp. Montoya produced the feature, BEFORE AND AFTER, which premiered at the Manheim Festival. (It was directed by the infamous Aziz Ghazal, who later killed his wife, burned down their house with his kids in it, then wandered into the Angeles mountains and killed himself.) Her second short film, CRIMES AGAINST CHARLIE is an award-winner from the Houston International Film Festival. It is a snapshot of the feature film script of the same name.

Drawing upon four years of experience at cable station KPAS in Pasadena, California and with radio station KPCC, where she wrote, directed, and produced numerous documentaries and public advocacy videos and radio shows (PLANNING FOR THE 21st CENTURY, Larry Mantle's AIRTALK, DOWNED POWER LINES, NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH), Montoya transitioned to producing scores of television commercials. She has produced spots and on-air promos for some of the world's largest and most influential corporations and media giants, including Paramount, CBS, Disney, Anheuser-Busch, Oracle, AT&T, Qwest, DirecTV and Honda. In addition, she has produced visual effects for commercials and the films, The X-Files, I Want to Believe, and The Spirit.
