Kristina Kiesler
Kristina Kiesler's directing debut began in 2006 with the critically acclaimed, all celebrity show of "The Vagina Monologues" at the Directors Guild of America
and once again at the DGA in 2007. Both shows benefited Vday.org. Some of the stars that Kristina worked with on this play were Brenda Strong (DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES and SCOUNDRELS), Angela Kinsey (THE OFFICE), Sheree J. Wilson (DALLAS), and Mira Furlan (LOST).
Kiesler's film directing debut began in 2006 with L.A. IN A BLUE MOON on
Kodak's S16. With L.A. IN A BLUE MOON and THE APPROVED she made it
to the top 5% out of 12,000 entries in Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett's
ON THE LOT.
Since then, Kristina assisted directed KATRINA'S FRAY and has been accepted
to the distinguished Women in Film's Mentorship Program for directing.
Her films L.A. IN A BLUE MOON and THE APPROVED were accepted in to the
USA Film Festival in Dallas Texas. L.A. IN A BLUE MOON was subsequently
accepted into WILDsound Best of International Shorts Film Festival in
Toronto, Canada.
Recently Kristina was 2nd A.D. on WIF's "Reading To Kids" PSA with AWD Board Member, Jan Reesman. After her work on the project, WIF has since asked Kristina to direct an upcoming WIF PSA.
