From production sound and mic placement, layering up with sound editing, ADR, loop group, Foley and final mix, they illustrated how great sound can make your film look and feel more expensive, as well as help us present a more compelling story. Thanks to the generosity of Todd-AO and our panelists, we heard how sound is built from the best in the biz.

Victoria Rose Sampson - Supervising Sound and ADR Editor
Victoria Rose Sampson has been a member of the film community for over 35 years as a post-production Supervising Sound and ADR Editor. (Old Dogs, Sex and the City: The Movie, Wild Hogs, Evan Almighty, Frailty, Donnie Darko, Red Eye, Pirates of the Caribbean, Speed, The River, On Golden Pond.) She won the Golden Reel Award for Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. She has written and directed two award-winning short films. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and serves on the Sound Branch Executive Committee as well as the Student Academy Awards Committee. Ms. Sampson teaches sound for filmmaking at USC School of Cinema and Television and at Video Symphony Post Production Institute. She is on the board of directors of the Alliance of Women Directors and has worked on the sound editing for many an AWD project.
Bruce Stambler - Supervising Sound Editor
As a Supervising Sound Editor, Bruce Stambler has won an Academy Award for The Ghost and The Darkness and been nominated four additional times for Batman Forever, Clear and Present Danger, Under Siege and The Fugitive. He won the BAFTA for The Fugitive, shared with Becky Sullivan. He has been nominated for three Golden Reel Awards for xXx and The Fast and The Furious, including the Dialogue and ADR Award shared with Becky Sullivan. He's been nominated twice for Emmy Awards and won the Emmy Award for Miami Vice: Brother's Keeper.
Becky Sullivan - Supervising Sound and ADR Editor
As a Dialogue and ADR Editor, Becky Sullivan has won the BAFTA for The Fugitive, shared with Bruce Stambler. She has been nominated for three Golden Reel Awards for Dialogue and ADR for Collateral, The Sixth Sense and for The Fast and The Furious, shared with Bruce Stambler. She was Supervising ADR Editor of the Academy Award-winning The Ghost and The Darkness. She recently served as Supervising Sound Editor of How to Eat Fried Worms and Baby Mama, and as Co-Supervising Sound Editor on The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. In addition, she is Operations Manager at SounDelux.
Brett Voss - Foley Mixer
Brett Voss has been a Foley Mixer on The Rocker, Bottle Shock, Mister Magorium's Wonder Emporium, P.S. I Love You and Good Luck Chuck, among many other credits.
